Are you unfulfilled?
You are a mom. That is the best purpose you could ever have. God has given us all gifts, talents, abilities, and spiritual giftings to make a difference in this world. If you are feeling unfulfilled in your life, it’s probably because you aren’t living out the calling God has placed on your life and just living day to day, trying to just get through it all.
When you have this ache inside of you, God is telling you that there is more you are called to do. But it all starts with one simple thing. Well, actually two. It takes you continually trusting God in every circumstance, but the thing we are delving into today… is perspective.
It’s crucial to look at where you are now and see the situation from God’s point of view. To see yourself from His point of view. He has a plan for your life, He was intentional in your creation. He didn’t make a mistake. Look at your life now and ask yourself, what does God see?
“If you are feeling unfulfilled in your life, it’s probably because you aren’t living out the calling God has placed on your life.”
Feel Unfulfilled? Shift Your Perspective
What does God see?
He sees an amazing, beautiful creation! He sees someone that He put a lot of thought and intentionality behind their creation and was made perfect in His image.
Now what do you see? Do you see that amazing beautiful creation? Do you look at yourself and see all the amazing qualities and giftings that He has given you in order to live out your purpose? It’s time to start seeing yourself the way God sees you. Seeing your season the way God sees it.
So you are figuring out what God has called you to do, you are in this season of living unfulfilled. It won’t change overnight. How do you get out of this feeling and into the joy and excitement for what’s to come?
Shift your perspective!
Perspective is the capacity to view things in their true relations or relative importance. It is the ability to see things clearly and objectively. The clear and objective way to see things is through God’s eyes. When we see things through His eyes, we are able to make decisions based on His plan for our lives, instead of our own.
“The clear, objective way to see things in your life
is through God’s eyes.”
How we see things around us can make all the difference on our inward feelings and emotions. Remember, we don’t let our emotions rule us. If you haven’t listened to those episodes yet, there are several, but a big one I’d recommend to start with is episode 50. When you can shift your perspective on your situation, everything else will change with it, then as your perspective changes, you will start to see all the amazing things God is doing.
He is always working behind the scenes. You may not see it right away, and your current emotional state may be clouding even more of what He is doing. But when you start to shift your perspective, your eyes will be opened to so much more that you were clouded to before.
God has so much in store for you! You just can’t see it. But if you shift your perspective, open your eyes and speak truth, speak the word of God over your circumstances, over your mental and emotional state, and continue to be intentional with that, you will see change!
How do you shift your perspective?
By speaking truth!
Everything that we put into our mind from the moment we wake up shapes our perspective. That’s why it is so important to spend time in the Word.
Declare God’s truth over the season you are in when you feel unfulfilled. Get out that notebook, write these verses down, meditate on them and speak them out, memorize them. whatever you can do to get them in your mind, and sealed in your spirit.
- 2 Corinthians 4:18
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
- Isaiah 55:8
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.”
- 1 Peter 5:10
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.”
- 2 Timothy 1:7
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.”
- Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
- Proverbs 19:21
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”
Study these verses and set your sights on God as you shift your perspective.
“You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
Deuteronomy 11:18-19
Bind The Word On Your Heart
As you bind these verses on your heart, the more you study, the more you focus on them, the easier it will be to see God’s view of where you are at. As you see His view, you will begin to transform your perspective to a more hopeful, positive and excited for the future, yet content with the present. God will begin to reveal to you things that he has for you, things He wants you to do, things He has planned for you. When you get on God’s track for your life, it will be better than you ever expected!
Alright mama. I hope this helped you and was encouraging for what is to come. Remember, God has big things in store for you! You being a mama is the best purpose you could have, so enjoy this season as God reveals what is to come!
“When you get on God’s track for your life, it will be better than you ever expected!”
